Every Day in May 2017: the last few days...
This is my third year participating in the Facebook sketching group,
"Every Day in May", in which participants post one sketch a day
throughout the month, in response to the day's theme or prompt.
This is the result of the last few days of May.
Day 29: an animal: a horse sculpture... done on my smartphone
Day 30: shoes: cycling shoes, my son's running shoes, and leather sandals

Every Day in May 2017: week 4
This is my third year participating in the Facebook sketching group,
"Every Day in May", in which participants post one sketch a day
throughout the month, in response to the day's theme or prompt.
This is the result of week 4.
Day 22: something you collect: items collected on a mountain hike
Day 23: something transparent: the icy surface of Lake Louise, and the cool spring sky
Day 24: a perfume bottle: no perfume in the house, so some miscellaneous oils, sprays and creams.
Day 25: a musical instrument: the insides of our upright piano
Day 26: something that makes you laugh: my son, the family comedian, after a day clowning around.
Day 27: something old or vintage: a 1950s Raleigh biycle
Day 28: a traffic sign: on Jasper Avenue.

This is the result of week 3.
Day 15: a favourite tool: a pedal wrench and a bottom bracket wrench.
Day 17: a power plug: with a timer
Day 18: something sweet: a bottle of Weissbier
Day 19: feet with or without socks: without
Day 16: something you made: my commuter bike, built up from a 1970s frame.
Day 20: something from a garden or park: an old tree stump in our yard
Day 21: a bicycle: an old Brooks saddle with a Trail-a-Bike attachment

Every Day in May 2017: week 2
This is my third year participating in the Facebook sketching group,
"Every Day in May", in which participants post one sketch a day
throughout the month, in response to the day's theme or prompt.
This is the result of week 2.
Day 8: smallest thing on desk: hand-carved rubber stamps, accompanied by red Chinese ink paste
Day 9: something huge: the new behemoth that has taken over the north half of downtown, Rogers Place.
Day 10: lunch: some leftover steamed fish with red peppers.
Day 11: Cactus: a succulent plant
Day 12: something on a bookshelf: art supplies
Day 13: a tree or leaf: a tree in our yard
Day 14: a Mothers Day gift: individually bouqueted stems of roses, to be distributed at church
This is the result of week 2.

Day 1: one or more of your drawing/painting tools... most not used
Day 2: something you use for your hair style... source of hat hair
Day 3: something you use in your kitchen every day... actually, the kitchen
Day 4: May the Force be with you (draw Star Wars)... the source of inspiration for Darth Vader, also on the occasion of Kodomo no hi (Children's Day)
Day 5: an onion or garlic... 3 bulbs of garlic
Day 6: a car or truck... a collection of Transformer toys (all Bumblebees)
Day 7: something architectural... lunchtime sketch at work

winter boots and spring shoes
A series of sketches of footware, one each from February, March, and April, at the Friday night community school. I'd have expected a gradual change from mostly boots to mostly shoes by now, but with snow still a regular occurrence, it's been a slow transition.
